Job summary

Accolade Healthcare in Savoy, IL seeks a Respiratory Therapist (CRT/RRT) to evaluate and treat residents, operate respiratory care equipment, and support a multidisciplinary team to reduce avoidable hospital readmissions.

This full-time role requires active CRT/RRT credentials and an Illinois license in good standing; CPR is required, ACLS preferred. Not a remote position; benefits include health, 401k, paid leave, and travel reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Active CRT or RRT credentials.
• Active license in good standing with the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation.
• CPR certification required; ACLS preferred.
• Experience in Long Term Care is preferred.
• Experience as a Respiratory Therapist in Home Health/LTACH or sub-acute settings is a plus.
• This position is not a remote position.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality patient evaluation.
• Provide thorough medical record evaluation.
• Provide appropriate treatment to maintain respiratory function.
• Evaluate and treat residents with respiratory problems, including tracheostomies, suctioning.
• Evaluate care and outcomes related to respiratory care; suggest plan changes.
• Recommend and provide preventive measures to maintain respiratory function.
• Manage and wean supplemental oxygen and trachs.
• Assist with pulmonary rehab modalities.
• Perform all direct respiratory patient care.
• Educate residents or caregivers to maintain respiratory health.
• Operate respiratory care equipment safely and effectively.
• Participate in staff education.
• Maintain respiratory supply stock.
• Assist nursing staff as needed.
• All other duties as assigned.
