Job summary

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of RT experience, a degree in Respiratory Therapy or a related field, NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist certification, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist.
• Degree in Respiratory Therapy or a related field.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification with NBRC.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Passion for delivering exceptional patient care and staying current with respiratory therapy techniques.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapy treatments, including oxygen therapy, inhalation therapies, and aerosol treatments
• Monitor patients' vital signs and assess their overall health
• Develop and implement customized respiratory care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team
• Maintain accurate records of patient treatment and progress
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective treatment plans
• Provide high-quality respiratory care to patients with COPD, pneumonia, asthma
• Conduct pulmonary function tests (PFTs) and other diagnostic tests to assess lung function
• Develop and implement respiratory care plans in accordance with professional standards and facility policies
• Educate patients and their families on respiratory care techniques and disease management
• Participate in interprofessional team conferences to discuss patient care and treatment plans
