Job summary

Sweetwater Care is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to independently perform respiratory care procedures, interpret physician orders, assess resident needs, deliver prescribed therapy and evaluate responses in a skilled nursing environment.

The role requires CT/RRT credentials, current BLS, and familiarity with ventilator management and oxygen delivery. Strong communication with residents, families, and staff is essential for quality care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Must be a Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
• Current BLS (required), ACLS preferred.
• Verifiable credentials and licensure in the practicing state.

Responsibilities

• Promotes healing of acutely ill residents through respiratory care and education.
• Administers respiratory therapy including ventilation, oxygen delivery and monitoring.
• Setups and manages medical gases, humidification, aerosols and airway management.
• Coordinates with nursing leadership to integrate respiratory care into daily practice.
