Job summary

BayCare Health System is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for Winter Haven Hospital to join our patient-focused team. The role delivers routine and critical respiratory services under physician orders, adhering to hospital protocols and collaborating with the care team.

The position is full-time on the day shift (6:30 AM – 7:00 PM) with on-call not required. Preference for NICU or pediatric experience; NBRC credentials and CPR are required, with ACLS/NRP/PALS as applicable.

Qualifications

• RRT (Respiratory Therapy License) required.
• Active NBRC Credential for RRT.
• CPR certification.
• NRP (Neonatal) within 6 months.
• ACLS within 6 months.
• PALS (Pediatric) - Preferred.
• Technical Respiratory Therapy education required.
• Associate's Respiratory Therapy degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivers Respiratory Care Services under physician orders and hospital protocols.
• Performs noninvasive and invasive procedures with minimal supervision.
• Performs diagnostic testing; handles emergency/Adult critical care scenarios.

The Respiratory Therapist is a clinical professional who utilizes the department's scope of services to access, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care as an integral member of the healthcare team.

Responsibilities Include:

• Delivers Respiratory Care Services under the order of the physician and in accordance with protocols established by the hospital, other health care providers, or the board and functions in situations of unsupervised patient contact requiring individual judgment.
• Performs noninvasive and invasive procedures with minimal oversight.
• Perform diagnostic testing; and Emergency care/Adult critical care

Certifications and Licensures Required:

• RRT (Respiratory Therapy License)
• Active NBRC Credential for RRT
• CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation)
• NRP (Neonatal) - within 6 months
• ACLS (Cardiovascular) - within 6 months
• PALS (Pediatric) - Preferred

Education Required:

• Technical Respiratory Therapy
• Associate's Respiratory Therapy - Preferred

Experience Required:

• 6 Months Respiratory
