Job summary

BayCare Health System in Winter Haven is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to join the Respiratory Care Services team at Winter Haven Hospital. This part-time, night-shift position (6:30PM–7:00AM) offers exposure to NICU and pediatric care in a large regional health system.

Responsibilities include delivering respiratory care per physician orders, performing noninvasive and invasive procedures, and conducting diagnostic testing while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• RRT license with NBRC credential is required.
• CPR certification required; NRP and ACLS within 6 months.
• PALS certification preferred.
• Minimum 6 months of respiratory experience.
• NICU and Pediatric experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivers respiratory care per physician orders and hospital protocols.
• Performs noninvasive and invasive procedures with minimal supervision.
• Conducts diagnostic testing and emergency/adult critical care.

The Respiratory Therapist is a clinical professional who utilizes the department's scope of services to access, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care as an integral member of the healthcare team.

Responsibilities Include:

• Delivers Respiratory Care Services under the order of the physician and in accordance with protocols established by the hospital, other health care providers, or the board and functions in situations of unsupervised patient contact requiring individual judgment.
• Performs noninvasive and invasive procedures with minimal oversight.
• Perform diagnostic testing; and Emergency care/Adult critical care

Certifications and Licensures

Required:

• RRT (Respiratory Therapy License)
• Active NBRC Credential for RRT
• CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation)
• NRP (Neonatal) - within 6 months
• ACLS (Cardiovascular) - within 6 months
• PALS (Pediatric) -

Preferred Education

Required:

• Technical Respiratory Therapy
• Associate's Respiratory Therapy -

Preferred Experience

Required:

• 6 Months Respiratory
