Job summary

BayCare Health System is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for Winter Haven Hospital. This PRN, night-shift position supports the Respiratory Care Services team with patient-centered care and professional collaboration.

Responsibilities include delivering respiratory services per orders, performing procedures, and supporting diagnostic and emergency care. Prior NICU and pediatric experience is highly valued; flexiblility for on-call and shifts is noted.

Qualifications

• RRT (Respiratory Therapy License) is required.
• Active NBRC Credential for RRT is required.
• CPR certification is required.
• NRP certification within 6 months is required.
• ACLS certification within 6 months is required.
• PALS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Delivers Respiratory Care Services under physician orders and protocols.
• Performs noninvasive and invasive procedures with minimal oversight.
• Performs diagnostic testing and emergency/critical care as needed.

Position Details:

• Facility: BayCare Health System - Respiratory Care Services
• Location: Winter Haven Hospital
• Status: PRN (POOL), Exempt: No
• Shift Hours: 6:30PM - 7:00AM
• Shift: Nights
• Weekend Work: Every Other
• On Call: No
• 4 shifts a month requirement

The Respiratory Therapist is a clinical professional who utilizes the department's scope of services to access, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care as an integral member of the healthcare team.

Responsibilities Include:

• Delivers Respiratory Care Services under the order of the physician and in accordance with protocols established by the hospital, other health care providers, or the board and functions in situations of unsupervised patient contact requiring individual judgment.
• Performs noninvasive and invasive procedures with minimal oversight.
• Perform diagnostic testing; and Emergency care/Adult critical care

Certifications and Licensures

Required:

• RRT (Respiratory Therapy License)
• Active NBRC Credential for RRT
• CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation)
• NRP (Neonatal) - within 6 months
• ACLS (Cardiovascular) - within 6 months
• PALS (Pediatric) -
