Job summary

Elevate Care in Illinois is seeking a dedicated Respiratory Therapist to join our team. You will assess, treat, and monitor patients with respiratory conditions, including oxygen therapy and ventilator management, while collaborating with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.

The ideal candidate holds an active Respiratory Therapist license with BLS and ACLS certification, brings strong clinical skills and compassion, and can work independently in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Active Respiratory Therapist license in good standing.
• Current BLS and ACLS certification.
• Clinical respiratory care experience preferred.
• Strong clinical skills and critical thinking.

• Ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Assess, treat, and monitor patients with respiratory conditions, including oxygen therapy and inhaled medications.
• Set up, monitor, and troubleshoot ventilators.
• Educate patients and families about respiratory care and techniques.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop care plans.
• Monitor and document patient progress and communicate changes to the team.
• Respond promptly to respiratory emergencies.
