Job summary

Mercy Hospital St. Louis Critical Care Medicine Fellowship is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to perform direct patient care in respiratory care, consult with physicians on therapy effectiveness, and act as an advanced resource for the care team.

The role involves performing duties as assigned within a dynamic critical care setting. Mandatory education includes graduation from a CoArc approved Respiratory Care program with an RCP license and NBRC RRT credential; ACLS is preferred and PALS may be

Qualifications

• Graduate of a CoArc approved Respiratory Care program.
• Current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license required.
• RRT credential held (NBRC). For ER staff, PALS is required.
• ACLS preferred.
• Critical care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care per physician orders.
• Consult with physicians regarding the effectiveness of therapy.
• Serve as an advanced resource for physicians and nursing staff in respiratory care.
• Perform duties as assigned.
