Job summary

Mercy Hospital St. Louis Critical Care Medicine Fellowship is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner fellow to provide direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory therapy under physician orders. You will consult with physicians on therapy effectiveness and serve as an advanced resource for the care team. Duties are performed as assigned.

Education: CoARC-approved Respiratory Care program graduate. Licensure: active RCP license; NBRC-RRT credential. PALS for ER staff; ACLS preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of CoARC approved Respiratory Care program.
• Licensure: Holds a current Respiratory Care Practitioner license.
• Certifications: NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
• ER: PALS is required for ER coworkers.
• Physical demands: Push/pull up to 50 lbs, pinch up to 10 lbs, kneel/crouch/crawl.

Responsibilities

• Performs direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care according to physician orders.
• Consults physicians on effectiveness of therapy.
• Acts as an advanced resource person for physicians and nursing on respiratory care.
• Performs duties as assigned.
