Job summary

Mercy in Missouri is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide direct patient care across respiratory therapies according to physician orders. You will consult on therapy effectiveness and support physicians and nursing staff as an advanced resource in respiratory care.

Completion of a CoARC-approved program and NBRC RRT certification are required. The role supports Mercy's patient-centered approach with emphasis on collaboration, safety, and clinical excellence, including ACLS and ER readiness

Qualifications

• Graduate of a CoARC approved Respiratory Care program.
• Current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
• RRT credential issued by NBRC.
• PALS required for ER staff.

Responsibilities

• Performs direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care per physician orders.
• Consults physicians on effectiveness of therapy.
• Acts as an advanced resource for physicians and nursing on respiratory care.
• Performs duties as assigned.
