Job summary

Kindred Hospital Santa Ana is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to deliver safe and competent respiratory care as ordered by physicians, monitor mechanical ventilation, and support patient assessments.

You will work with the healthcare team, document procedures, manage airway devices, and participate in rounds and education. Experience preferred; current NBRC credentials, BLS/ACLS, and California license required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Respiratory Care procedures per hospital policies, procedures and protocols.
• Document and charge capture of all Respiratory Care procedures and contribute to the patient care plan.
• Verify and initiate physician orders for Respiratory Care.
• Operate and maintain respiratory care equipment and sterilization procedures.
• Manage airway devices, suctioning, and ventilation support per protocol.
• Assist in bronchoscopy procedures and airway assessments.
• Conduct Spontaneous Breathing Trials and ventilator weaning as directed.
• Provide patient and family teaching and handoffs to the care team.
