Job summary

Kindred Hospital Central Tampa seeks a Registered Respiratory Therapist to provide safe, evidence-based respiratory care, including ventilator management, airway support and patient monitoring in a long-term acute care setting.

You will collaborate with physicians and a multidisciplinary team, participate in rounds, document treatments accurately, and support training of new staff. Requires NBRC Registry and state licensure, ACLS/BLS, and the ability to work effectively under pressure.

Qualifications

• Ability to work under stress and respond quickly in emergencies.
• Strong interpersonal skills with residents, families and staff.
• Clear English verbal and written communication.
• Understanding of adult and geriatric care needs and care planning.
• Team player with ability to work cooperatively.

Responsibilities

• Administer respiratory care as ordered and work in all hospital areas.
• Maintain complete documentation of all Respiratory Care procedures.
• Enter daily services and charges into the department system.
• Verify orders, initial and time-stamp after verification.
• Provide timely updates to physicians and hospital staff.
