Job summary

Kindred Hospital Melbourne is seeking a professional Respiratory Therapist to provide safe, competent care per physician orders, monitor ventilation, administer medications, and assess patients.

You will document services, verify orders, participate in rounds and training, and assist in airway management and procedures. ACLS/BLS, NBRC registry, and Florida licensure required; acute care experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist with NBRC credentials.
• State licensure as required by Florida.
• ACLS and BLS certification required.
• Minimum 1 year of acute care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver respiratory care procedures per policy and in all hospital areas.
• Maintain accurate documentation of procedures and charge daily services.
• Verify physician orders; initial, date and time orders after verification.
• Attend in-services, rounds, and mandatory hospital meetings.
• Assist with airway management, intubation support, and ventilation.
• Provide updates to physicians and participate in patient care planning.
