Kindred Hospital Chicago - Northlake is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide safe, competent respiratory care under physician orders. You will monitor mechanical ventilation, perform ABG sampling, and manage airway devices in a 94-bed long-term acute care environment.

You will document care, collaborate with the healthcare team, and participate in training of staff and students. KBLS and ACLS certifications are expected along with state licensure.

Formación

• Ability to work under stress and to respond quickly in emergency situations.
• Fluent English reading, writing and speaking.
• Ability to work cooperatively as a member of a team.
• Regular attendance is required.
• 0% travel is expected.

Responsabilidades

• Deliver Respiratory Care procedures according to policies and protocols.
• Document and update plans of care and charge capture.
• Verify physician orders for Respiratory Care.
• Operate and troubleshoot respiratory equipment; ensure proper disinfection.
• Manage oxygen/aerosol delivery and ventilation devices.
• Assist in airway management and emergency procedures.
• Support bronchoscopy procedures and decannulation assessments.
• Perform spontaneous breathing trials and wean per protocol.
• Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and patient education.
