Job summary

Kindred Hospital Santa Ana is seeking a qualified Respiratory Therapist to deliver safe, evidence-based care. You will monitor ventilation, assess patients, perform procedures per physician orders, and collaborate with the healthcare team to optimize outcomes.

The role requires current state licensure, CRT or RRT credential, BLS and ACLS, and at least 1 year of experience. Excellent documentation, patient education, and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Current Respiratory Therapy license from the appropriate state licensing body.
• Current CRT or RRT credential or Respiratory Care Practitioner Certification.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• 1 year experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Respiratory Care procedures per department policies and protocols.
• Document and charge respiratory care activities and care plan elements.
• Verify and initiate physician orders for Respiratory Care.
• Manage oxygen delivery, non-invasive and invasive ventilation devices.
• Assist in airway management and weaning, including ABG considerations.
• Provide patient and family education and handoff reports.
