Our Respiratory Care Department provides comprehensive respiratory therapy services to patients of all ages. Our team collaborates with physicians and healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care, including diagnostic testing, therapeutic interventions, and patient education. We utilize advanced technology and evidence-based practices to manage various respiratory conditions, aiming to improve patient outcomes.

About Corewell Health William Beaumont University Hospital

Established in 1955, this hospital has grown from a 238-bed community hospital to a 1,101-bed major academic and referral center with Level I adult and Level II pediatric trauma designations. It hosts 43 residency and fellowship programs with 454 residents and fellows and is the clinical partner of Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine.

Scope of Work

Under minimal supervision, the Respiratory Therapist implements and evaluates diagnostic and therapeutic services, assists in diagnosis and management of cardiopulmonary disorders, participates in patient and staff education, supports respiratory equipment, and assists with department functions.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy
• Michigan State Respiratory Therapist License
• NBRC Certification
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA or American Red Cross
