Job summary

AdaptHealth is seeking a Respiratory Support Technician to provide direct and indirect patient care across home, office, and hospital environments. You will set up PAP equipment, train patients and staff, and support billing and compliance processes while ensuring patient confidentiality and safety.

The role involves coordinating with respiratory department staff, program managers, and operations to deliver equipment instruction, maintenance, and timely follow-ups, with travel within the service

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in Medicare-certified HME environment preferred.
• Knowledge of respiratory therapy or DME services preferred.
• Valid and unrestricted driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Provide equipment instruction and troubleshooting for respiratory patients.
• Set up PAP devices and fit masks with clear patient communication.
• Conduct follow-up calls and visits to ensure optimal care.
• Perform routine maintenance and simple repairs per policy.
• Document all paperwork accurately including tickets and safety checklists.
• Maintain reimbursement knowledge for billing documentation.
• Promote services to community referral sources.
• Adhere to PPE, infection control, and hazardous materials handling.
• Assist in quality improvement programs and compliance training.
