Job summary

AdaptHealth is seeking a Respiratory Support Technician to provide comprehensive patient care across home, office, and hospital environments. The role acts as a subject matter expert, conducts new-hire training, and mentors team members while ensuring compliant operations.

Responsibilities include equipment instruction, setup of PAP devices, patient follow-up, and maintenance per manufacturer guidelines, with a focus on confidentiality and high-quality care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in Medicare-certified HME environment that bills insurance.
• Knowledge of respiratory therapy or DME services preferred.
• Valid and unrestricted driver’s license from state of residence.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Respiratory Department staff and Program Managers to provide equipment instruction and service.
• Set up PAP/BIPAP equipment and masks with clear instructions.
• Conduct follow-up calls/visits to ensure optimal care outcomes.
• Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshoot equipment failures per policy.
