Job summary

AdaptHealth, LLC is seeking a Respiratory Support Technician to provide comprehensive direct and indirect patient care across home, office, and hospital environments, ensuring equipment and services meet policy and patient needs.

You will train new hires, support CPAP/BIPAP programs, perform routine maintenance, assist with billing documentation, and maintain HIPAA-compliant records while delivering compassionate, efficient service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Knowledge of respiratory therapy or DME services preferred.
• Exact job experience in Medicare certified HME environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Respiratory staff to provide equipment instruction and service to respiratory patients.
• Set up and fit PAP patients with equipment and masks, with clear instructions.
• Perform follow-up calls/visits to ensure optimal care; contact clinical support for urgent needs.
• Perform routine maintenance checks and repairs per policy; troubleshoot equipment.
• Report equipment hazards and incidents per policy.
• Maintain knowledge of current Respiratory Programs and products.
• Complete required paperwork including delivery tickets, safety checklists, ABNs and equipment forms.
• Develop basic reimbursement knowledge for proper billing documentation.
• Maintain confidentiality per HIPAA and AdaptHealth's Compliance Program.
• Adhere to PPE, infection control, and hazardous materials handling procedures.
• Assist in quality improvement programs and promote services to community sources.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
