Job summary

AdaptHealth is seeking a Respiratory Support Technician to deliver direct and indirect patient care across home, office, and hospital settings. You will act as a subject matter expert, train new hires, and mentor team members while ensuring efficient service and patient satisfaction.

Your role requires setting up PAP equipment, troubleshooting, and maintaining compliance with HIPAA and safety protocols, with responsibilities across care teams and reimbursement basics.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in Medicare certified HME environment preferred.
• Knowledge of respiratory therapy or DME services preferred.
• Valid and unrestricted driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Respiratory Department staff and program managers to provide equipment instruction, service, and troubleshooting for respiratory patients.
• Set up PAP devices and ensure proper fit and patient understanding of instructions.
• Conduct follow-up calls/visits to ensure optimal care outcomes and involve clinical support when needed.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance checks and repairs per policy and manufacturer guidelines.
• Report equipment hazards and product incidents per policy.
• Maintain knowledge of current Respiratory Programs and HME products/services.
