Job summary

AdaptHealth is seeking a Respiratory Support Technician to deliver comprehensive patient care across home, office, and clinical settings. You will train staff, assist with PAP equipment setup, and ensure compliance with HIPAA and company policies while maintaining high quality service for respiratory patients.

You will handle follow-ups, maintenance, and troubleshooting, while liaising with program managers and clinicians to optimize patient outcomes and documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in Medicare-certified HME or related equipment environment preferred.
• Knowledge of respiratory therapy or DME services preferred.
• Valid and unrestricted driver’s license from state of residence.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Respiratory Department Staff and Program Managers to provide equipment instruction and troubleshooting for respiratory patients.
• Set up and fit PAP patients with equipment and masks with clear instructions.
• Conduct patient follow-up calls and visits to ensure optimal care outcomes.
• Perform routine maintenance checks and simple repairs per policy and manufacturer guidelines.
• Report hazards and incidents per policy.
• Maintain knowledge of Respiratory Programs and HME products.
• Complete required paperwork accurately, including delivery tickets and compliance forms.
• Develop basic reimbursement knowledge for billing documentation.
• Maintain patient confidentiality under HIPAA and company compliance programs.
• Adhere to PPE, infection control, and hazardous materials procedures.
• Assist quality improvement initiatives and promote services to community referrals.
