Job summary

AdaptHealth is seeking a Respiratory Support Technician to deliver comprehensive patient care across home, office, and hospital settings. You will set up and fit PAP equipment, provide instruction, perform preventive maintenance, and support clinical and insurance documentation with accuracy.

In this role you will train new hires, mentor team members, and collaborate with CPAP/BIPAP program managers to ensure high-quality, compliant care while maintaining patient confidentiality and HIPAA

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Related experience in construction, manual labor, military or equipment repair considered.
• Medicare certified HME environment experience billed insurance preferred.
• Knowledge of respiratory therapy or DME services preferred.
• Valid and unrestricted driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Respiratory staff to provide equipment instruction and troubleshooting.
• Set up and fit PAP patients with equipment and masks with clear instructions.
• Conduct patient follow-up calls/visits to ensure optimal care outcomes.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot equipment failures per policy.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and assist with billing documentation.
• Mentor and train new hires and support quality improvement initiatives.
