Job summary

AdaptHealth is seeking a Respiratory Support Technician to deliver comprehensive care across home, office, and hospital settings. You will work with the Respiratory Department to instruct patients, set up PAP equipment, and ensure proper documentation and follow-up to optimize outcomes.

The role requires handling maintenance, coordinating with clinical support for urgent needs, and traveling within the service area while maintaining HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; related experience in Medicare-certified HME is a plus.
• Experience setting up PAP/BIPAP equipment and providing patient instruction.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within service area.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Respiratory Department staff to provide equipment instruction and service for respiratory patients.
• Set up and fit PAP patients with appropriate equipment and masks, communicating instructions clearly.
• Conduct patient follow-up calls and visits to ensure optimal care outcomes and escalate urgent needs.
• Perform routine maintenance checks and basic repairs per policy and manufacturer guidelines.
