Job summary

AdaptHealth is seeking a Respiratory Support Technician to provide comprehensive patient care across home, office, and hospital settings. The role involves equipment setup, training, and follow-up to ensure optimal outcomes while adhering to HIPAA and company policies.

You will work with CPAP/BIPAP programs, perform routine maintenance, and assist with documentation and billing processes. A valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with respiratory DME/billing preferred.
• Knowledge of insurance verification processes beneficial.
• Medicare/HME background helpful.
• Must have valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Respiratory Department staff to provide equipment instruction and troubleshooting.
• Set up and fit PAP patients with equipment and masks, communicating instructions clearly.
• Conduct patient follow-up calls/visits to ensure optimal care and escalate needs.
• Perform routine maintenance checks and troubleshoot equipment failures.
• Complete required paperwork (delivery tickets, safety checklists, ABNs/AMAs).
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and protect patient confidentiality.
• Promote services to community referral sources as appropriate.
