Job summary

AdaptHealth is seeking a Respiratory Support Technician to deliver comprehensive patient care across home, office, and clinical settings. You will train on PAP/C PAP devices, perform maintenance, and ensure accurate documentation and billing support.

A focus on confidentiality, safety, and quality improvement is essential. Role requires travel within the service area, strong communication, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining compassion for patients

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in construction, general manual labor, military, or equipment repair related fields considered related experience.
• Medicare-certified HME environment experience preferred.
• Knowledge of respiratory therapy or DME services preferred.
• Valid and unrestricted driver’s license from state of residence.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Respiratory Department Staff and Program Managers to provide equipment instruction, service, and troubleshooting for respiratory patients.
• Set up and fit PAP patients with appropriate equipment and masks, communicating clear instructions.
• Conduct patient follow-ups to ensure optimal care outcomes and escalate urgent needs to clinical support when identified.
• Perform routine maintenance and simple repairs per policy and manufacturer guidelines.
• Report equipment hazards and complete required documentation accurately and timely.
• Maintain knowledge of current Respiratory Programs and DME products/services; protect patient confidentiality (HIPAA).
• Develop basic reimbursement knowledge for proper billing documentation.
• Promote compliance with PPE, infection control, and hazardous materials handling policies.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and engage with community referral sources as appropriate.
