Job summary

The Respiratory Support Technician at AdaptHealth provides comprehensive patient care across home, office, and hospital environments, ensuring equipment is functioning and properly fitted. You will train new staff and mentor team members while maintaining HIPAA compliance and documenting care and equipment use.

Responsibilities include setup and fitting of PAP devices, follow-up visits, preventative maintenance, and collaboration with program managers to support respiratory patients.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in Medicare certified HME environment that bills insurance is a plus.
• Knowledge of respiratory therapy or DME services preferred.
• Valid and unrestricted driver's license from state of residence.

Responsibilities

• Provide equipment instruction, service, and troubleshooting for respiratory patients.
• Set up and fit PAP patients with equipment and masks.
• Conduct patient follow-up calls and visits to ensure optimal care outcomes.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance checks and simple repairs per policy and manufacturer guidelines.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and complete compliance training and education.
• Promote services to community referral sources as appropriate.
• Complete required company, insurance, and government paperwork accurately and timely.
