Job summary

Mercy Health Lourdes Hospital seeks a Respiratory Care Practitioner II to deliver comprehensive respiratory care, including ventilator support, oxygen therapy, and bronchodilator delivery. The role involves patient assessment, documentation, and education, with potential to serve as shift Charge Therapist.

You will collaborate with physicians, nurses, and families to optimize respiratory care and outcomes, while maintaining equipment and participating in rounding and training activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy or related healthcare field (preferred).
• Two years of experience as a Respiratory Care Professional (required).
• Licensing: active Respiratory Care License in state of practice (required).
• NBRC credentialed (required).
• BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications (required).
• EPIC EHR training (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care including oxygen delivery, ventilator care, and airway management.
• Lead shift in staff coverage and advise on patient care needs.
• Perform CPR and airway management per AHA ACLS.
• Assess patient status and tailor therapies; document results.
• Educate patients and families on therapies and devices.
• Maintain and troubleshoot respiratory equipment and supplies.
• Coordinate with physicians on prescribed therapies and changes.
