Job summary

Bon Secours seeks a Respiratory Care Practitioner II to deliver comprehensive respiratory care, assess patients, plan and execute therapies, and educate both patients and staff. The role includes potential supervisory duties as Charge Therapist and requires collaboration with physicians and nursing teams across the hospital.

Responsibilities cover ventilator care, airway management, PFTs, and post-treatment evaluation, with adherence to safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field preferred.
• Two years of experience as a Respiratory Care Professional required.
• Current Respiratory Care License in the state of employment; NBRC credentialed; BLS/ACLS required; PALS preferred.
• EPIC EHR training is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care: assess, plan, intervene, educate, and evaluate.
• Assure staffing coverage as shift Charge Therapist.
• Perform bronchoscopy-related support and airway management tasks.
• Administer CPR and respiratory therapies with careful documentation.
• Administer therapies including IPPB, oxygen therapy, and aerosol treatments.
• Educate patients and families on therapy goals and device use.
