Job summary

Mercy Health – Fairfield Hospital is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner II to provide respiratory care, assess patients, plan care, and educate on therapies. You will manage ventilator care, monitoring responses and collaborating with the care team to optimize outcomes.

Responsibilities include acting as shift Charge Therapist, assisting with bronchoscopy when needed, performing CPR per ACLS, and teaching patients about therapies and home care.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience as a Respiratory Care Professional.
• Current Respiratory Care License in the state of practice.
• NBRC credentialing required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• EPIC EHR training or experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• May serve as shift Charge Therapist to ensure staffing coverage.
• Assist physicians with bronchoscopy and invasive procedures as applicable.
• Perform CPR according to ACLS protocol and monitor patient response.
• Administer oxygen, aerosols, and ventilatory therapies as ordered.
• Educate patients and families on therapies and home care plans.
