Job summary

Mercy Health Lourdes Hospital is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner II to provide comprehensive respiratory care, patient assessment, and education. The role includes staffing leadership, procedures with physicians, and adherence to ACLS/BLS/PALS guidelines to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.

Candidates must hold a current state license, NBRC credentialing, and a valid driver's license for Home Care/DME. EPIC EHR training is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree related to respiratory therapy/healthcare preferred.
• Two years of experience as a Respiratory Care Professional required.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work with diverse patient populations and families.
• EPIC EHR experience preferred (training).

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care including oxygen, ventilator care and airway management.
• Serve as shift Charge Therapist to ensure adequate staffing and coverage.
• Assist physicians during procedures such as bronchoscopy and tracheostomy care.
• perform CPR and manage airway and patient response to therapies.
• Educate patients and families on therapies and home care where applicable.
• Maintain and calibrate respiratory equipment and document procedures.
