Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner II at The Jewish Hospital to deliver comprehensive respiratory care. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate therapies, including ventilator care, oxygen therapy, and airway management, while educating patients and staff.

The role requires knowledge of respiratory procedures, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to serve as a shift Charge Therapist to ensure proper staffing and patient coverage.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience as a Respiratory Care Professional.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experience with ventilators and IPPB, aerosol therapy, and airway management.

Responsibilities

• May serve as shift Charge Therapist ensuring staffing coverage and assignments.
• Assist physicians with bronchoscopy and invasive monitoring as needed.
• Perform CPR following ACLS protocol.
• Administer prescribed respiratory therapies and monitor patient response.
• Set up and manage oxygen therapy and ventilator support.
• Instruct patients and families on inhalers and home therapies.
• Document procedures and patient responses in medical records.
