Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner III for a PRN, as-needed role in Ohio. The incumbent will provide comprehensive respiratory care, assess patients, plan and implement therapies, educate caregivers, and evaluate outcomes.

Clinical leadership and mentorship of staff and students are expected, with involvement in quality improvement and research initiatives. The role requires active licensure, NBRC credential, and at least two years of experience as a respiratory care

Qualifications

• Current Respiratory Care License in the state they are working
• NBRC credentialed (required)
• Two years of experience as a Respiratory Care Professional
• BLS/ACLS/PALS preferred at hire but must obtain prior to direct patient care

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care through patient assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
• Lead clinical rounds and mentorship to staff and students.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical research.
• Assist with staffing plans and serve as a preceptor for new team members.
• Document care activities and maintain patient charts according to policy.
