Job summary

AdaptHealth is seeking a Respiratory Support Technician to provide comprehensive patient care across home, office, and hospital environments. You will set up PAP/BIPAP equipment, train patients and staff, and ensure accurate documentation while maintaining HIPAA compliance.

Role requires travel within the service area and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. High school diploma and valid driver’s license are required, with Medicare HME experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with Medicare-certified HME environments a plus.
• Knowledge of respiratory therapy or DME services preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Respiratory Department Staff and Program Managers to provide equipment instruction and service.
• Set up PAP/BIPAP equipment and communicate instructions clearly.
• Conduct patient follow-up calls/visits to ensure optimal care outcomes.
• Perform routine maintenance checks and simple repairs per policy.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and document accurately (delivery tickets, ABNs, AMAs).
• Promote services and products to community referral sources as appropriate.
