Job summary

AdaptHealth seeks a Respiratory Support Technician to provide comprehensive patient care across home, office, and hospital environments, ensuring safe equipment delivery, setup, and troubleshooting. You will train new staff, maintain HIPAA compliance, and support referrals to optimize care delivery.

Responsibilities include CPAP/BIPAP support, equipment maintenance, documentation, and patient follow-up, with travel across the service area as needed. A valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Knowledge of respiratory therapy or DME services preferred.
• Exact job experience is related to Medicare-certified HME environments.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Respiratory Department Staff and Program Managers to provide equipment instruction, service, and troubleshooting for respiratory patients.
• Set up and fit PAP patients with appropriate equipment and masks, communicating instructions professionally.
• Conduct patient follow-up calls and visits to ensure optimal care outcomes; contact clinical support when urgent needs arise.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance checks and simple repairs per policy and manufacturer guidelines.
• Report equipment hazards and product incidents; maintain knowledge of current programs and products.
