Job summary

AdaptHealth is seeking a Respiratory Support Technician to provide comprehensive care across home, office, and hospital environments. You will set up PAP equipment, train patients, perform maintenance, and support billing with proper documentation.

Must have a high school diploma and a valid driver’s license; Medicare/HME experience is a plus. Travel within service areas is required, with opportunities for growth and professional development.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in Medicare certified HME environment preferred.
• Knowledge of respiratory therapy or DME services desired.
• Valid and unrestricted driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Respiratory Department Staff and Program Managers to provide equipment instruction, service, and troubleshooting for respiratory patients.
• Set up and fit PAP patients with appropriate equipment and masks, communicating instructions clearly.
• Conduct patient follow-up calls and visits to ensure optimal care outcomes and escalate urgent needs.
• Perform routine maintenance, repairs per policy and manufacturer guidelines, and troubleshoot equipment failures.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and confidentiality in all patient interactions and documentation.
• Promote services and products to community referral sources as appropriate.
• Complete required paperwork including delivery tickets, safety checklists, and reimbursement documentation.
