Job summary

Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights, IL is seeking a Respiratory Clinical Education Specialist for a full-time role. You will serve as a specialty area expert, develop and deliver education programs, supervise policy adherence, and collaborate with multidisciplinary staff.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree, RRT and CPR certifications, at least three years of experience in respiratory therapy, and IL licensure.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's Degree required.
Certification: RRT certification required; CPR certification required.
Experience: Minimum three years' experience in respiratory therapy.
License: Current Illinois Respiratory Care Practitioner licensure.

Responsibilities

Serves as specialty area expert to staff and patients for respiratory care services.
Develops and implements educational programs and competency testing.
Maintains awareness of regulatory guidelines and new standards of care.
Administers respiratory therapy including medications and gases; CPR as needed.
Assess patient needs and collaborate with nurses and physicians for care optimization.
Coordinates orientation and onboarding for new staff and tracks progress.
