Job summary

Qualifications

• Active Illinois Respiratory Care License is required.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required.
• Graduate of an Accredited Respiratory Therapy Program.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• ACLS or NRP or PALS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and assess response to ordered respiratory therapies on med/surg units.
• Monitor patient condition and communicate updates to the care team.
• Educate patients/families on respiratory care and disease management.
• Precept students and new hires; participate in rounds and process improvement.
