Job summary

The position requires a Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy, an RRT, and active Illinois licensure, with BLS and ACLS/NRP/PALS certifications preferred.

Qualifications

• 3 years of respiratory care experience.
• Bachelor's degree and accredited respiratory therapy program completion.
• RRT certification and active IL license required.

Responsibilities

• Competent in adult respiratory therapies and modalities across med/surg, ED, and critical care.
• Implements adult respiratory protocols and adjusts therapy frequencies as ordered.
• Monitor and communicate patient condition to the health care team.
• Educate patients and families on respiratory disease management and resources.
• Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and lead department initiatives.
• Precept students and new hires; support relief charge duties as needed.

Education

Bachelor's Degree and Graduate of an Accredited Respiratory Therapy Program

Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

Active Illinois Respiratory Care License

Basic Life Support (BLS)

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)

Adult Critical Care Specialty (ACCS) and/or RPFT and/or AE-C and/or NPS
