Job summary

HDR, Inc. seeks a Resources Business Group Data Steward to shape how data is defined, shared, and used across all Business Classes and Practices within HDR.

This leadership role focuses on making data simpler, more useful, and more connected to how we do business today and in the future. The ideal candidate brings deep experience in data strategy, governance, and leading technical teams, with a proven ability to align stakeholders, drive reuse, and deliver reliable insights for HDR's projects

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in architecture, engineering, data science, business, CS, or related field.
• At least 10 years of experience in a related field.
• Experience building and leading diverse teams.
• Ability to collaborate with senior leaders, operations managers and marketing managers.
• Committed to HDR values and employee-owned culture.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the RBG data point of contact and leverage SME expertise from our Business Classes and Practices.
• Develop and maintain data glossaries for key engineering and technical terms with business context.
• Build alignment around data processes, priority, and expected use.
• Promote consistent, responsible use of technical data and data quality best practices.
• Govern externally sourced datasets and manage lifecycle considerations.
• Lead a RBG SME network to align practices and share lessons.
• Promote data fluency across the RBG.
• Collaborate with BG Data Stewards, Data Science Teams, and Data Operations staff.
