Job summary

HDR seeks a strategic Resources Business Group Data Steward to define, share, and reuse data definitions across HDR’s business classes and practices. This leadership role enables better decisions, data reuse, and delivery excellence across the enterprise.

The role reports to the Resources Technology Director with a dotted line to the Digital Design Lead, working with HDR Data Operations and the HDR Technology Leadership Team to empower teams and drive data fluency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, data science, business, computer science, or related discipline or equivalent related experience.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in a related field.
• Experience in development and management of diverse teams.
• Ability to work cooperatively with other leaders and managers.
• Committed to HDR values and employee ownership culture.

Responsibilities

• Work as the RBG data point of contact and leverage SME expertise from our Business Classes and Practices.
• Develop and maintain specific data glossary(ies) for key engineering and technical terms with business context.
• Use your technical network to build alignment around data processes and priorities.
• Promote consistent, responsible use of technical data, including access, data quality, and reuse.
• Lead a RBG SME network to align practices and share lessons across BG.
• Promote data fluency across the RBG and collaborate with Data Science Teams and Data Operations staff.
