Job summary

HDR is seeking a Resources Business Group Data Steward to define, share, and reuse data across HDR’s Business Group and HDR. This leadership role focuses on making data simple, connected to how we do business, and ready to support analytics and AI initiatives.

You will partner with HDR Data Operations and the Technology Leadership Team to reduce ambiguity, improve data quality, and enable faster, more confident decisions across projects and time.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of strategic leadership in change management and business data.
• 15+ years of overall experience providing diverse data-focused solutions.
• Experience in architecture, engineering, and construction industry.
• Experience in power, industrial, and/or waste sectors is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, data science, business, CS, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Work as the RBG data point of contact and leverage SME expertise from our Business Classes and Practices.
• Develop and maintain specific data glossary(ies) for key engineering and technical terms with business context.
• Use your technical network to build alignment and consensus around data processes, priority, and expected use.
• Promote consistent, responsible use of technical data, including access, data quality, best practice for format, and reuse.
• Support governance of externally sourced datasets (access, approvals, inventory awareness, storage, and lifecycle considerations).
• Work with Enterprise Data Operations to help lead a RBG SME network to align practices and share lessons learned across our business classes and practices.
• Promote data fluency across the RBG.
• Regularly communicate and collaborate with other BG Data Stewards, BG and Enterprise Data Science Teams, and Enterprise Data Operations staff.
