CentraCare Health in Saint Cloud, MN, seeks a Resource Support Specialist for the Staffing Office at St. Cloud Hospital to create and maintain schedules and allocate personnel systemwide based on patient census/acuity data. The role reviews timecards for accuracy and supports staffing decisions with strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Onsite shifts include 8/10/12 hours with day/evening options. Onsite, wage range starts at $21.12/hour with potential for higher pay.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of a post-secondary secretarial program preferred.
• Scheduling experience highly preferred.
• Previous hospital experience in patient care setting is highly preferred.
• Proficient with Word, Excel, timekeeping, and scheduling applications.

Responsibilities

• Adjusts and allocates personnel to provide adequate coverage, including ill call replacement and float assignments.
• Inform management of staffing problems or issues.
• Maintain records and work schedules, and produce various reports.
• Complete last-minute scheduling changes and address staffing concerns.
• Collaborate with nursing supervisor or transfer facilitator to ensure proper staffing each shift.
• Forecast staffing needs using applicable technology.

The Resource Support Specialist is responsible for creating and maintaining schedules and the coordination and appropriate allocation of personnel to units systemwide based on patient census/acuity data.Maintains statistical information, accurately interprets, follows, and supports personnel policies and procedures. Responsible for reviewing and auditing timecards for accuracy for employees in each assigned department. This role requires attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.

Schedule:

• Full-time | 60-72 hours every 2 weeks | Onsite at the St. Cloud Hospital
• Day and Evening shifts | 8, 10 and 12-hour shifts | As early as 4am start times | As late at 12:30am end times

Pay and Benefits:

• Starting pay begins at $21.12 per hour; exact wage determined by years of related experience

• Adjusts and allocates personnel to provide adequate coverage, including ill call replacement, float assignments, adding/deleting staff, and adjusting skill mix based on unit needs.
• Inform appropriate management personnel of problems/issues related to staffing.
• Accurately maintains records and work schedules, produces various reports, and compiles statistical information, required manually and in the computer system.
• Completes last-minute scheduling changes and addresses any staffing-related concerns.
• Collaborates with nursing supervisor or transfer facilitator to ensure the facility is appropriately staffed each shift.
• Forecasts staffing needs using applicable technology.
