Job summary

Columbia River Elementary in Pasco, WA is seeking an Instructional Paraeducator for the Resource Room. The role supports teachers with instruction, behavior management, and data tracking for students with diverse needs.

Applicants should have at least an associate degree or 72 college credits, bilingual ability, and valid first aid/CPR certification. Training and a 180-day calendar are included in the position.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
• Bilingual and/or Biliterate (Spanish) preferred.
• Associates degree or higher or 72 credits completed.
• Passing score on paraeducator assessment.

Responsibilities

• Apply trauma-informed strategies to support students and maintain routines.
• Collect and document data on academic progress and IEP goals.
• Follow behavior plans and de-escalation techniques to ensure safety.
• Assist with instruction, both individual and small group.
• Provide first aid and supervise students during activities.
• Support classroom management and prepare lesson materials.
• Translate information to assist students and guardians (bilingual).
• Attend required trainings and participate in district meetings.
