Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
• Bilingual and/or Biliterate (Spanish), required.
• Passing score on the Educational Testing Service (ETS) paraeducator assessment.
• Experience with students who have special needs preferred.
• Valid First aid and CPR for infants/children or willingness to obtain.
• K-12 school setting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Use trauma-informed strategies to build safe, supportive relationships and respond with empathy.
• Collect and document data on academic progress, behavior, and IEP goals.
• Follow behavior intervention plans and CPI strategies to de‑escalate behaviors.
• Assist in delivering teacher-directed instruction in academic, behavioral, and social-emotional areas.
• Provide one-on-one or small group instruction and support.
