Job summary

Intermountain Health's St Vincent Regional Hospital in Billings, MT is seeking experienced Registered Nurses to join the Resource Pool. This float pool role covers days, nights, weekends and holidays, with a 10% float differential and cross-training into specialty units over time.

You will float to Medical-Surgical and other units, ensuring safe staffing and high-quality care across the hospital. The position offers full-time and part-time options, a mission-driven environment, and opportunities

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state of practice.
• Compact licenses must be transferred to the state of practice within 60 days of start.
• Minimum of 1 year of Registered Nurse experience.
• Willingness to float across multiple units at St. Vincent Hospital.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers.
• BSN required as of 4/27/2025; prior hires held to previous requirements.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate, and evidence-based nursing care across inpatient units.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized plans of care.
• Adapt quickly to different units, patient populations, and acuity levels.
• Collaborate effectively with physicians, care managers, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Continuously monitor, document, and evaluate patient progress and outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with regulatory standards.
• Educate patients and families to promote recovery, understanding, and safe transitions of care.
• Uphold professional, ethical, and organizational standards of nursing practice.
