Job summary

Intermountain Health's St Vincent Regional Hospital in Billings, MT is seeking experienced Registered Nurses to join the Resource Pool (Float Pool). This role offers variety across inpatient units, flexible scheduling, and 10% float differential.

You will float to days/nights/weekends/holidays, start in Medical‑Surgical Pool, cross‑training into specialty departments, with opportunity for professional growth and a supportive, mission‑driven environment.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state of practice.
• Compact licenses must be transferred to the state of practice within 60 days of start.
• Minimum of 1 year of Registered Nurse experience.
• Willingness and ability to float across multiple units at St. Vincent Hospital.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers.
• BSN within four years of hire date for RNs with less than 12 months of experience.
• BSN is required as of 4/27/2025; earlier hires governed by prior requirements.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate, and evidence‑based nursing care across inpatient units.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized plans of care.
• Adapt quickly to different units, patient populations, and acuity levels.
• Collaborate effectively with physicians, care managers, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Continuously monitor, document, and evaluate patient progress and outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation per standards.
• Educate patients and families to promote recovery and safe transitions of care.
• Uphold professional, ethical, and organizational standards of nursing practice.
