Job summary

Intermountain Health's St Vincent Regional Hospital in Billings, MT is seeking experienced Registered Nurses to join our Resource Pool (float pool). As a Resource Pool RN you will float across inpatient Medical-Surgical units to cover staffing needs, delivering safe, compassionate care and coordinating with the care team.

The role offers a 10% float differential, opportunities for cross-training into specialty areas, and both full-time and part-time schedules within a supportive, mission-driven

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state of practice.
• Compact licenses must be transferred to the state of practice within 60 days of start.
• Minimum of 1 year of Registered Nurse experience.
• Willingness and ability to float across multiple units at St. Vincent Hospital.
• BLS certification for Healthcare Providers.
• RNs with less than 12 months of experience must obtain their BSN within four years of hire.
• BSN is required as of the last update.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate, and evidence-based nursing care across inpatient units.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized plans of care.
• Adapt quickly to different units, patient populations, and acuity levels.
• Collaborate with physicians, care managers, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Continuously monitor, document, and evaluate patient progress and outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation per regulatory standards.
• Educate patients and families to promote recovery and safe transitions of care.
• Uphold professional, ethical, and organizational standards of nursing practice.
