Job summary

Intermountain Health, St Vincent Regional Hospital in Billings, Montana, seeks experienced Resource Pool Registered Nurses to float across inpatient units and provide safe, compassionate care. The role covers days, nights, weekends and holidays with a 10% float differential recognizing versatility and clinical skill.

You’ll start in the Medical-Surgical pool with cross-training opportunities, gaining broad exposure while working with interdisciplinary teams in a mission-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state of practice.
• Compact licenses must be transferred to the state of practice within 60 days of start.
• Minimum of 1 year of Registered Nurse experience.
• Willingness and ability to float across multiple units at St. Vincent Hospital.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers.
• RNs with less than 12 months of experience must obtain their BSN within four years of hire.
• BSN is required as of the job description's last update.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate, and evidence-based nursing care across inpatient units.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized plans of care.
• Adapt quickly to different units, patient populations, and acuity levels.
• Collaborate effectively with physicians, care managers, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Continuously monitor, document, and evaluate patient progress and outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with regulatory standards.
• Educate patients and families to promote recovery, understanding, and safe transitions of care.
• Uphold professional, ethical, and organizational standards of nursing practice.
