Job summary

tms is seeking an Senior Resource Manager in Chicago to lead internal resource operations for Portfolio Marketing Services. You will manage project timelines, forecast needs, and ensure the right people work on the right projects at the right time.

The role requires deep understanding of creative development, with strong organizational and communication skills. This position offers a hybrid work model in Chicago and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in a creative agency or studio setting.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and AirTable.
• Understanding of the creative development process, timelines and deliverables trafficking.
• Experience with resource management across large overlapping projects.
• Ability to manage multiple, complex projects with detail orientation.
• Ability to work with ambiguity and adapt to priority changes.
• Strong communication skills across organization levels.
• Self-motivated, quick learner with strong organizational skills.
• Experience leading cross functional teams on diverse projects.
• Experience with digital projects (web + app), campaigns, loyalty, and brand partnerships.

Responsibilities

• Support rollout of new resourcing platform and process.
• Coordinate and track resource assignment and availabilities across the team.
• Collaborate with account management and production leads on timelines and changes.
• Provide forecasting based on client plans and flag under/overstaffed periods.
• Manage freelance documentation with TA/IT/Finance partners.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, tools and reporting.
• Lead prioritization of client deliverables with leadership across teams.
• Attend meetings and communicate necessary follow ups to stakeholders.
• Coordinate training for new team members on operational processes.
