Job summary

Giri Hotels seeks an experienced Assistant General Manager to help oversee Meadowmere Resort in Ogunquit, Maine. You will collaborate with the General Manager to run day-to-day operations, mentor staff, and maintain exceptional guest service while honoring budget and standards.

The role requires strong hospitality leadership, a track record in hotel/resort and restaurant management, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in Hotel/Resort management
• At least 1 year of restaurant management
• Previous managerial experience overseeing a team in hospitality
• Ability to communicate accurately and effectively with guests, management and staff
• Strong customer service orientation and hospitality focus
• Friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times
• Ability to work independently and take responsibility
• Familiarity with PMS, OTAs, POS and MS Office
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs
• On-site work at the hotel location

Responsibilities

• Assist General Manager in day-to-day operation of the resort and guest service standards
• Oversee Front Desk, Reservations, Food & Beverage, and Housekeeping
• Interface with guests daily to resolve concerns
• Collaborate with GM and department heads to monitor performance and profitability
• Coordinate with GM on property activities ensuring policy adherence
• Coordinate with corporate to complete procedures including accounting and AP
• Lead HR administration, turnover control, staff motivation, and development
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
• Ensure guest experiences exceed expectations
• Build knowledge of restaurant operations
